My Impact

“Throughout my life, I have been driven by a passion for education and a deep belief in its power to change lives. From my early days in the UK, overcoming language barriers and cultural challenges, to leading one of the most significant educational transformations in the country, my journey so far has been a compilation of efforts to make a difference.”

Breaking Barriers: Used my Indian heritage, determination, and drive to break the glass ceiling, becoming one of the most outstanding and influential leaders in the UK.

Advancement of West Nottinghamshire College: As Principal and CEO, I played a key role in developing the college into one of the UK’s leading providers of apprenticeships, helping it gain national recognition.

Commercial Growth: Oversaw the growth of BKSB, a commercial software education company, from less than £0.5 million to £3.5 million.

Inspire and Achieve Foundation: I founded the Inspire and Achieve Foundation to help underprivileged youth reconnect with education and employment, making a lasting impact on their lives.

Shaped National Apprenticeship Policy: Played a pivotal role in advancing the government’s national apprenticeship agenda.

Inspirational Leadership: In 2009, recognised as the third most inspirational CEO in the UK by The Sunday Times, reflecting the impact of my leadership.

Influence on National Policy: Engaging with top UK politicians, including the Prime Minister, I’ve helped shape national education policies that benefit students across the country.

International Recognition: Positioned Mansfield and the college on the international map, enhancing global recognition.
